I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
